Kyra Brue is a student at Kennesaw State University. She is working towards getting her BA in English, with a minor in Spanish. She currently works at KSU’s Writing Center as a Student Writing Assistant and volunteers at Bristol Hospice in Atlanta. Kyra is organized, hardworking, detail oriented, punctual, helpful, a writer and editor with a keen eye, and can speak some Spanish (but isn’t completely fluent yet). She has experience writing and editing blogs, emails, flyers, and the Course catalog for KSU’s College of Continuing and Professional Education (CCPE), and has written several essays in her college courses over the years.
Kyra really enjoys the work that she does at the Writing Center, and hopes to be able to use the skills she has learned here, and previously with CCPE, to do something similar to those jobs in the future. After she graduates she hopes to find a job in editing, copywriting, or publishing for a prominent magazine or book company. Her dream is to work in a major city like Atlanta, New York, or Washington DC, and hopefully, one day, become an Editor in Chief of a major company.
When she isn’t working, doing school work, or volunteering, Kyra enjoys listening to music, doing art, watching Netflix, reading, and spending time with her friends and family. For more information about Kyra please see the links below.
